Rebar in Victoria

While in Victoria recently, I had the chance to eat at Rebar, the place that was one of the founders of this vegetarian revolution! They have had a cookbook out for years!

It’s casual inside with lots of space, and a menu with many choices from fruit and veg juice, smoothies and teas to salads and warm main dishes. We had the Potsticker Bowl (filled with minced veg with great flavor) over rice with mixed vegetables, and the Monks Curry with tofu( nice spice with not too much sauce) over rice. And both very good sized meals for just $13.

While waiting for the take out order, I sat at the bar and enjoyed a Geisha. Made of apple, pineapple and cucumber juice, this was lovely! The friendly staff also shared a taste of their Glow drink made with ginger and strawberries-surprisingly yummy concoction!

I highly recommend a visit while in Victoria.
