There is a new trend hitting Vancouver. Gourmet Vegetarian and Vegan at a modern setting, with a good wine and beer list! That’s right, ACORN, on Main Street is the newest of the Vegetarian restaurants. Good enough to surprise even a hard-core meat-eater!
So when you do go, make sure to share some starters to be able to enjoy some different flavours. I had the Corn Chowder, which was almost a meal in itself. Next up, was my main entrée: Zucchini Tagliatelle, with candied olives on a Cashew rose sauce. Wow. It was really good! I was soooo full, I couldn’t even try the other dishes on the table: Beer battered Haloumi cheese on zucchini cakes over smashed peas; and The Mixed Mushrooms with Cauliflower, Broccolini over Spelt grains – I had one little piece and it was really tasty!
With an amazing menu with Vegan and Gluten Free options, and with fabulous flavours and creativeness, this restaurant is a must-visit! They do say we should all take a break from eating meat every week, well here is your answer!
Be ready to wait, there are no reservations!
